VMD Movie List

Listed below are the details of all the VMD files from each of the seven Phantasmagoria cds. The tables are quite extensive but are surrounded by helpful hypertext navigation aids. To assist in the interpretation and use of these tables, please note the following points:

It is assumed that you are familiar with the basics of the plot.
Where no person is mentioned in a file description, you may assume that the chief or only character concerned is Adrienne.
File sizes are given in bytes.
The abbreviation fps stands for "frames per second". By changing the VideoSpeed setting in your RESOURCE.* file to 400, Phantasmagoria will use the less detailed 5fps versions of some of the more hardware demanding movies rather than the regular 10fps versions. Movies of 5fps are named identically to their counterparts with the exception of the addition of the number 5 to the end of the main part of their filenames.
On the whole, the arrangement of the VMD movie scenes is quite sloppy. For example, what is the attempted murder of Carno scene doing on cd3 and Victoria's murder on cd6? Why are the older versions of some scenes still on the cds? Note the dates and times where provided.
A cursory examination of the VMD contents of cd7 will reveal that there is no "happy" ending to the game in which Don survives and returns to normal.
