View of the PoV filming area facing east from the lookout at
the top of the Harbour Centre. The bottom half of this picture shows
the railway line (left) and Gastown (right). Near the centre, a dark
patch of green indicates Portside Park. Just above the Park, and
a little to the right, are Jane and Frank's apartment buildings.
A couple blocks to the right lies a yellow building, the neighbour of Sunrise
Market. The docks seen frequently in the background in the movie
dominate the top left of this photo. In the extreme distance, across
the Burrard Inlet, lies North Vancouver.
Here is another view from the Harbour Centre lookout, this time
facing north. In the bottom half of the picture, from left to right,
the Pan Pacific Hotel with its domed roof, the Vancouver Sun/Province newspaper
building with its sea plane control tower on top, and Canada Place can
be seen. At the left edge middle lies part of Stanley Park.
In the distance, near the top, lies North Vancouver and many adjacent mountains.
Admittedly this is not much of an aerial view, but it clearly
shows the Harbour Centre and the nearby newspaper building and SeaBus ferry
terminal (low, dark brown building with long walkway). This photo
was taken from Canada Place.
